In order to fully understand and capture the depth of the work, thinking and theorizing of the children at Community Seedlings, we employ a variety of formal and informal documentation methods. Teachers and specialists use anecdotal notes, video and audio clips, children’s work samples, photography, storytelling, and more. In order to make learning visible, documentation is found throughout the school.
Teaching teams work on documentation of each child’s cognitive growth and educational journey. This documentation is shared in curriculum planning sessions, as well as with parents.
