Educator

Ever since I can remember, the field of Early Childhood has been my calling. Right after High School, I earned my Preschool Teaching Certificate from Orange Coast College. Teaching my first class of 3 year olds in Newport Beach was sheer delight! Then, I went on to graduate from UC Irvine with a B.A. in Social Ecology/ Human Development. I taught as well as directed Play Based and Montessori Preschools while raising my family ( two daughters) in Hawaii for decades. I value the rich multicultural experiences and immersed myself in honoring Hawaiian Culture, music and traditions. My interest in Communication and Language Skills led me back to school for an A.A. in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and a S.L.P.A. Certification/ License. My work in Speech-Language Pathology, mostly with ASD children was both fascinating and rewarding. I am dedicated to supporting the child’s Social-Emotional Development, Multiple Intelligences, Self-Help and Communication skills with my creative, silly, Superpowers; Music, Movement, Rhythm and Rhyme! I am forever Blessed with my Grandsons, Amor, 4 years and Skyler 5 years old. Working at Community Seedlings, for a few months now has been a privilege. With daily warm welcoming,  profound caring and expertise, offering quality educational experiences while giving the child opportunities to explore and be curious, is truly exceptional. Instilling a Sense of Wonder and imagination is so needed in our world today.
