These fully qualified teaching teams support children’s learning in our three homeroom classrooms. They provide rich environments and provocations for learning daily and support the work of the specialists in the homeroom environment. They have mixed-ages in their classrooms allowing for learning at various levels and pacing.
They understand and support the peer-to-peer learning model that is so important to Social Constructivist theory. Each homeroom offers a specific set of materials that allows for unique learning experiences.
Children are rotated through the three homerooms yearly so that they can experience in depth the special focus of each room’s environment. Teachers are expected to participate in continued professional development each year.
