Ms. Salamat

Miss Salamat is excited to join the 2nd grade team at Community Roots Academy! After her first year at the UC Irvine as a Sociology major, she wondered how she could apply her interests in social issues and human development to make positive changes in her community. This led her to committing to the field of education by adding a second major in Education Sciences. After graduating, she gained teaching experience working at a local Montessori school in Irvine. Miss Salamat’s love for learning and teaching brought her to further her education, and returned to UC Irvine for her Masters and teaching credential. She was fortunate to be placed at Community Roots Academy as a student teacher in 5th grade, and quickly realized just how special the school was. Miss Salamat is ecstatic to be back at Community Roots Academy and can’t wait to share her love for learning with her students!
