Dr. Fisher
Dr. Fisher’s background includes earning a doctorate in education with a culture and curriculum studies emphasis, a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and English with a teaching emphasis, and an MFA in creative writing. She has clear multiple subject and administrative credentials, 15 years of studio arts, two years studying math and science, 12 years in K-8 teaching in all subjects, 10 years mentoring teachers, five years teaching college courses, nine years mentoring education masters and doctoral students, and seven years in educational leadership. She was junior editor for Issues in Teacher Education Journal 2014-2015, has presented over 35 times professionally at conferences, has been a reviewer for three academic journals, published four articles and a book, and is part of several more articles submitted for publication submission this year. In addition to her administrative work at Community Roots Academy, she teaches English Composition at Saddleback College.
